Stirling Alpine Resort is the premier choice of Cross Country skiers in Victoria and Southern New South Wales.  The Resort offers 60km of cross country ski trails and a majestic open summit (View Map) only three hours drive North East of Melbourne via Yea and Mansfield on the Maroondah Highway. The resort is a popular outdoor educational resource for many Primary, Secondary and Tertiary educational institutions and has a strong educational focus within a well managed natural environment.

Over the years, Mt. Stirling Alpine Resort has grown in popularity.  This is predominantly due to the magical atmosphere, safe trails and affordable services. The Resort Ski School offers a number of events during the season including a Family Camp, Telemark and Back Country Touring weekends and specialty skills tuition.

Mt. Stirling Alpine Resort caters for ski enthusiasts from all walks of life.  Please select from the Index to gain further information on your particular requirements.

While there is no lodge accommodation on the mountain, Stirling Experience does operate a comfortable Alpine Camp offering a ski-in / ski-out experience in a pictures sheltered setting at an elevation of 1500m. The camp accommodates up to 28 persons. Group and individual bookings are welcome.

NEW IN 2012:
Snow-Rider Transport Service -
We have eliminated the walking. When there is no skiable snow at the nordic centre, resort guests will be able to ride the snow-rider transport to the snow line to commence skiing. Snow-play visitors will also be able to catch the service to the new toboggan and snowplay areas  at Alby's drop and King Saddle.

Novice Ski Trail Extensions -
Trail work has been undertaken on Lyabird, Fork Creek and Wombat trails to extend the novice (Green) sections of trail to develop easier loops across the mountain on both the lower and upper trail network.

Snow Play and Tobogganing -
For many years young families have appreciated the lack of crowds, friendly atmosphere and tranquil beauty of our natural winter wonderland. If your aim is to avoid the crowds and hectic pace of crowded toboggan slopes then we have the  winter playground to suit you. A new snow play and Toboggan area will open at Alby's Drop and visitors will be able to catch an exciting ride through the resort on the snow-rider transporter.
